I contribute dramaturgy and technical consultation to boycow, a performance written and performed by Cornelius and Gabriele Christian, directed by Monique Jenkinson. The audience moves between performers in separate rooms.

My collaboration with Cornelius began with Colossus. Across the collaboration I have participated as a subject, contributed writing, and worked through feedback and dramaturgical shaping. On Colossus, I contributed conceptual dialogue and text; on And the Bull, dramaturgy. Each work has its own authorship and credits.

I joined the conceptual development during grant writing, working with Cornelius on how the Minotaur myth could frame the piece. I contributed words, edits and cuts. In passages about the mother, we worked on Southern phrasing, accent, cadence and physical bearing, attending to how those choices might carry for an international audience. We also shaped repetition and loops so that they could read as deliberate stylistic choices.

The collaboration is ongoing. It has developed through in-person performances, recordings and Zoom conversations.
