Astrotechne
A toolset for data-aided ritual practice, including election calculation and ritual timing.
Realized, ongoing.

Astrotechne’s live chart workspace, showing the current sky for Denver with planetary positions, angles and timing controls.
I use Astrotechne in planning DANCER <> SELECTOR and YOLOROBICS: choosing dates, making and distributing posters, and preparing ritual objects. These preparations include sachets, consecrated jewellery and poured candles.
A particular example
For Mother’s Milk, a gathering with Materia, I used astrological timing to shape the event’s ritual intention. I chose a moment associated with maternal nourishment and relationship, seeking a supportive structure for healing and renewal.

When is a file born?
I use timestamps and location metadata to cast charts for photographs, files and journal entries. Revisiting old images this way adds another dimension to remembering: I can place a moment alongside my natal chart and transits, and make what I think of as a celestial artifact of that moment.
